We are in the peak of the fall season for Israel Trail hikers, folks who hike 1000 km from the north to the south of the land. Most of the hikers are 20-something year old Israelis and they are generally the open types and are interested in hearing what is going on at the hostel so we have great talks and contacts with them about our faith. The Shelter is a “Trail Angel” which means we offer a free night to people completing the Trail.
This week we had a dozen stay with us from a group called Walk about Love whose vision is to bring people of different cultures and backgrounds together as they trek through the beautiful landscapes of Israel. Most are happy to take a copy of my book in Hebrew, “Walk the Land.”
